Arestin
For patients battling gum disease, we offer Arestin. Arestin is an antibiotic that can be applied directly onto an infected gum pocket following a scaling and root planing procedure. Once in place, Arestin can effectively fight infection caused by gum disease for up to 14 days. For best results, patients should not brush or floss their teeth for 12 hours after Arestin has been used and should avoid touching any treated areas in the mouth. Arestin naturally dissolves overtime and does not leave anything behind to be removed by the dentist.
